About

Welcome to the landing page of Eileen Sheahan—a beautiful daughter, sister, and friend who passed at age 22. Eileen was raised in the suburbs of Chicago and was a senior at the University of Michigan. On January 27, 2024, Eileen’s mission on earth was complete, and her eternal life in heaven began. Eileen lived more life than many are able to do in a lifetime. She was, and continues to be, the epitome of grace and virtue.

From the earliest moments after losing Eileen, a phrase as radiant as she was began to echo in countless hearts: “Live Like Eileen.”

“Live Like Eileen” means to live with kindness, loyalty, strength, compassion, humor, and to love unconditionally. Eileen lived each day with gratitude, lots of laughs, and an ability to leave a meaningful impact on everyone she met. Whether it was her bright blue eyes, her shining smile, contagious laugh, soothing presence, adventurous spirit, or a kind compliment, everyone Eileen encountered was left with a lasting impression of her soul. Even after her passing, the story and love for Eileen continues to grow and shape lives.

“Live Like Eileen” has been a guiding mantra for those who loved and have been touched by Eileen. She has inspired family and friends to complete Ironmans, marathons, and half marathons in tribute to her love for running (Eileen ran the Ann Arbor Half Marathon in the fall of 2023). In everyday life, she is a reminder to go for that afternoon walk, make that recipe you saw on TikTok, say yes to a night out, remind someone how much you love them, forgive quickly, laugh with your whole body, and when in doubt, always go for the Aperol Spritz!

Eileen has left behind a legacy that is a testament to her spirit and eternal life. Whether you are a family member, friend, friend of a friend, friend of a friend of a friend, or a complete stranger reading this, remember to live everyday like Eileen, for the world will be a better place!

We love and miss you, Eileen!
